Well, it looks like travel to China for adoptions is suspended. Great, just great!!! We won't know any more until next week. The CCAA has tomorrow off. This is crazy!

I e-mailed our agency about this latest bit of information and they have not heard anything about holding back referrals and TA's. In fact, they reported that just this morning they received and e-mail from our facilitator with the CCAA telling them that our TA should be here in a couple of days. Let's hope that this is the truth!

Swine Flu

I am extremely disappointed to learn that the CCAA is holding off sending TA's and referrals for 20 to 30 days because of the swine flu. What about the families who have their travel dates already? God is definitely not on our side right now. What next???

Today at work, our wonderful staff put on a surprise shower along with providing food for a homemade Chinese Food potluck. The food was fantastic and the gifts were beautiful! Thank you again to everyone for the special day!!!

We are still waiting for Travel Approval and dates. I'm not sure why it's taking so long. We were told 4-5 weeks after referral is when we could expect our invitation to travel. This is week five. Come on CCAA!!!

I was up late last night and checked my e-mails before going to bed. This wonderful surprise was waiting for me!!! Maya now weighs 8.8 kg, (that's just over 19 lbs.), has four teeth - two up, two bottom, and her foot size is apparently 13.5 cm - that 's size 6. The update was sent to us from Ann at www.redthreadchina.com. Ann has been absolutely wonderful and Maya is so beautiful! I can't wait to get some bows in that hair!

Another nice surprise that we received yesterday was Maya's finding ad that had been posted in the Jiang Xi newspaper last year. The ad was translated for us and we even received a copy of the actual newspaper that the ad was in. One more thing for the scrapbook! Now, if we could only receive Maya...
